80-100 Grand Avenue Riverwalk Extension

The 80-100 Grand Avenue Riverwalk Project originated from the necessity to remove a building that protrudes over the Rock River in Downtown Beloit, Wisconsin, as it posed a potential hazard of collapsing into the river. The completed project will result in removing a blighted, unimprovable building in a valued downtown location, extending the riverwalk, and creating a design/construction-ready site for future development.

Batterman worked closely with the City of Beloit on various phases of this project, starting with securing funding and later providing surveying and civil engineering services. Our team is managing this project’s final construction phase and will also supply staking services and conduct material testing, reviews, and reporting.

The following are brief updates (most current first) on the construction progress made since early September 2024.
