CTH E Mill and Overlay
This 1.40-mile project, between County G and WIS 32, consisted of milling the existing pavement and overlaying it with new asphalt. Additional improvements included spot curb-and-gutter replacement, intersection improvements, sidewalk replacement, culvert replacement, beam guard replacement, inlet and manhole adjustments, and base patching.
Traffic control staging and detour plans were developed to maintain road access during milling and paving operations and to direct traffic to a detour route during culvert replacement.
Coordination was conducted with the Village of Somers Public Works and Fire Department (Fire Station in project limits), Union Pacific Railroad, and the WisDOT traffic signal department throughout the project.
