Position Overview – Transportation Design Project Manager
We’re looking for a thoughtful, steady, relationship‑driven Project Manager who brings both technical expertise and a people‑first leadership style. You’ll lead transportation and roadway design projects with precision, clarity, and confidence — while mentoring less experienced engineers and fostering strong client partnerships.

What You’ll Do
• Manage multiple transportation design projects from concept through completion
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and partners

• Provide technical leadership and quality control throughout the design process

What We’re Looking For

Required
• 8+ years of project experience in the civil engineering industry
• Strong background in design project engineering
• Proficiency with CAD/BIM software
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) License

Preferred
• 3+ years of progressive roadway design experience
• Experience with Wisconsin DOT and municipal roadway projects
• Familiarity with project contracts, specifications, and PS&E
• Ability to perform QA/QC on design documents
• Experience scoping projects
• Ability to apply field experience to design decisions

Position Overview – Civil Design Engineer I
As an entry‑level Civil Design Engineer, you’ll be a key part of our Civil Engineering Team, supporting a wide range of transportation, land/site development, municipal, and infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, project managers, and clients while gaining hands‑on experience in all aspects of civil design.

This role offers excellent growth potential for someone who is motivated, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.

What You’ll Do
• Assist with the design of civil engineering projects
• Prepare reports, plans, details, and engineering documents
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software to support project development

What We’re Looking For

Position Overview – Construction Engineer
As a Construction Engineer I, you’ll play a key role in supporting our construction engineering and project management operations. This is an entry-level position designed for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, project managers, and field staff while gaining valuable experience in project coordination, construction administration, and field operations.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems, working both in the office and the field, and contributing to the successful delivery of transportation and civil infrastructure projects throughout Southern Wisconsin.

What You’ll Do
•  Support Project Managers and Project Engineers in daily project execution
• Assist with project scheduling updates and progress tracking
• Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting documentation
• Assist with review and tracking of RFI’s
• Maintain project documentation and filing systems
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans and specifications

Position Overview – Survey Project Manager I
As a Survey Project Manager I, you’ll play a key role in coordinating survey projects from kickoff through final delivery. Working closely with field crews, technicians, Project Surveyors, and clients, you’ll help manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables while ensuring projects remain aligned with client expectations and company quality standards.

This position is ideal for a survey professional who enjoys balancing technical work, project coordination, team collaboration, and client communication while continuing to grow toward higher levels of project management and leadership responsibility.

What You’ll Do
•  Assist with managing project budgets and monitoring project burn rates against approved fees
• Support development of project scopes of work and contract administration activities
• Coordinate project workflow from research and field collection through CAD production and final deliverables
• Monitor project schedules, staffing allocations, and milestone completion
• Coordinate project assignments between field crews, technicians, and Project Surveyors
• Serve as a primary day-to-day client contact for project updates, schedule coordination, and information requests
• Support proposal preparation, project scoping, and workload forecasting
• Maintain project documentation and billing milestone records
• Assist with quality control review of survey deliverables, legal descriptions, plats, and mapping products
• Monitor project performance and proactively identify schedule, scope, or budget concerns
• Mentor and support junior staff as opportunities arise
• Support continuous improvement of surveying workflows and project delivery processes

What We’re Looking For
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Wisconsin required; Illinois licensure is a plus
• 3-5 years of project management, project coordination, or survey project leadership experience
• Experience coordinating project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client communication
• Understanding of contract administration and project financial management
• Experience with proposal development, project research, and project scoping
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams)
• Experience with project management and accounting software such as Deltek Ajera preferred
• Ability to mentor and train team members in a collaborative environment
• Understanding of state boundary laws, platting regulations, and local land-use regulations
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
• Commitment to quality control and accuracy in surveying deliverables

Preferred Qualifications
•  Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with Trimble survey equipment and Trimble Business Center
• Experience performing and managing ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
• Understanding of Wisconsin and/or Illinois boundary statutes and case law
• Experience utilizing LiDAR data and deliverables
• Experience participating in public meetings, municipal meetings, or public hearings

Position Overview – Survey Technician

As a Survey Technician, you’ll be an essential part of our Surveying Team, supporting a wide range of field data collection, construction staking, and drafting activities. You’ll work closely with experienced staff, project managers, and clients while gaining hands‑on experience in all aspects of land surveying.

This role offers excellent growth potential for someone who is motivated, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.

What You’ll Do

• Perform field data collection and construction staking with accuracy and efficiency
• Conduct records research and maintain survey databases
• Document daily field activities with clear notes, sketches, and reports
• Communicate project updates, questions, or changes to the Project Manager and clients
• Follow company and job‑site safety procedures and use required safety equipment
• Upload and download survey data using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Draft survey drawings and assist with preparation of survey documents
• Collaborate with team members to meet project schedules, budgets, and client expectations

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of survey experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
• Ability to pass random drug testing
• PLS or Certified Survey Technician certification is a plus
