The I-39/90 corridor was reconstructed from the Illinois state line to Madison. The 45-mile stretch was expanded from four to six lanes. Batterman staff managed the construction of I-39/90 in the Janesville area, where the four lanes were expanded to eight, which included a collector-distributor lane system. Batterman staff managed $270 Million of the $1.2 Billion total project cost.
Our team constructed six overpass structures, twenty-two mainline structures, and managed the construction of over 1,000,000 SY of concrete pavement. The Janesville area included twenty-one extensive mechanically stabilized earth walls, miles of noise walls, and nineteen overhead sign structures. Our resume includes managing five of the eleven interchanges, which included the construction of two diverging diamonds and two roundabouts.
