Michael is a Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyor, PLS, with over 34 years of experience in the field and office. Michael works out of our Beloit Office in Rock County, Wisconsin. As a Senior Survey Project Manager, Michael assists Kristin Belongia, our Vice President of Survey, in developing and maintaining client relationships and helping manage the day-to-day operations of our Surveying team.  He takes great pride in being a part of the Surveying Profession and strives to provide the highest quality of service for every client.

Michael holds a BA degree from Luther College with a major in Physics and a minor in Math. He also holds a BS degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Civil Engineering and has been a licensed PLS since 1999.

During his career, Michael has prepared many Subdivision Plats, Condominium Plats, CSMs, ALTA Surveys, Tie Sheets and Condition reports, and all types of survey maps throughout the State of Wisconsin. He is also an active member of the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors. 

Michael grew up and still lives in the quaint little village of New Glarus, a Swiss settlement of which he can trace his family history back to the original settlers.  He has four grown and successful children, of which he is extremely proud.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, relaxing on his land in the country, walking its numerous trails, nature watching, and tending to his garden.  In his spare time, you can also find him refinishing and restoring old furniture or touring beautiful Wisconsin on his Harley with his friends.
